John Bjork is a litigator, with a heavy, though not exclusive, focus on complex antitrust and other commercial litigation. He is an experienced trial lawyer who represents plaintiffs and defendants, at both the trial and appellate levels.

In his antitrust practice, John has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies and other businesses in several of the highest-profile matters over the past 15 years. John has an impressive track record of success, achieving collective recoveries of hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. He has handled numerous federal and state antitrust claims, including price fixing, market allocation, monopolization, and attempted monopolization in diverse industries, such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, payment card services, and retail products, among others. He has resolved complex commercial disputes at trial, as well as achieved favorable resolutions through arbitration, mediation, and negotiated settlements.

Throughout his years of practice, John has established solid working relationships with prominent members of the antitrust bar, which is essential for success in the large-scale, multiparty litigation environment typical in antitrust disputes.

John is skilled in simplifying complex legal issues and advising on options with both his clients’ legal and business considerations in mind. Clients appreciate his clarity, creativity, diligence, responsiveness, and investment in understanding how their businesses operate, the risks and burdens they face, and the objectives they seek to achieve. Armed with that information, John crafts a plan to achieve his clients’ litigation goals while limiting the stress and disruptions litigation can cause.

John’s peers have consistently recognized his hard work and skills as a litigator. For example, he has been voted an Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Star (2016-2022) and named to the Illinois Super Lawyers List for Antitrust Litigation (2023-2024). In connection with his practice, John is a longstanding member of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Section and Health Care and Pharmaceuticals Committee, as well as the Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws (COSAL).
