Tim Sperling has tried dozens of cases to verdict, consistently obtaining exceptional results for companies and high-net-worth clients across a wide array of complex legal disputes.
Tim has secured record-breaking settlements in the realm of real estate, among businesses involved in high-stakes commercial litigation, for large patent-holding companies, and in class actions. Recently, he secured an approximately $35 million settlement and settled a suit seeking tens of millions of dollars from a defendant for a mere “walk away.”
He is experienced in every forum in which disputes may be litigated, from informal mediation and binding arbitration to state and federal courts throughout the nation.
Before joining Sperling Kenny Nachwalter, Tim was a partner at a patent law firm, where he was responsible for licensing and litigation in connection with one of the largest patent portfolios in the world relating to text messaging. The licensing program, considered one of the more successful campaigns in the last several decades, resulted in over 200 licensees and the filing of over 20 lawsuits, all while generating several hundred million dollars in licensing revenues for the client.
