Trevor’s experience includes prevailing in disputes involving antitrust allegations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, professional liability, class actions, environmental matters, insurance and benefits, bankruptcy, export controls, and all types of contracts.

Diligent and creative, and with a strong knowledge of court and arbitral processes and procedures, Trevor crafts persuasive arguments and skillfully devises methods to resolve disputes. Throughout his years of practice, he has achieved an impressive record in helping clients in a wide variety of industries -- including finance, logistics, manufacturing, oil and gas, real estate, technology, and telecommunications -- successfully pursue claims as plaintiffs and defend against claims brought by others. Exceptional at remaining calm under pressure, Trevor can be relied upon to handle virtually any situation.

Trevor also serves as an arbitrator for the National Futures Association.

Before joining Sperling Kenny Nachwalter, Trevor clerked for the Honorable Paul J. Kelly Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He then worked at large international law firm Latham & Watkins, where he represented clients in a wide variety of high-stakes and bet-the-company litigation matters across the United States and worked on more than $1 billion in secured finance transactions. While in law school, Trevor externed with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of Illinois. Combining plaintiff and defendant representation experience with a law clerk’s insider perspective on judicial thinking, Trevor excels in strategizing claims and defenses, building strong cases, and delivering convincing arguments in court.

Representative Matters

Prevailed in a lawsuit representing the owner of a local entertainment venue on claims against a neighbor for violating property rights and easement restrictions in Illinois state court. Achieved a total victory for our client as lead trial counsel, including reimbursement of a significant portion of fees and expenses.

Represented an oil and gas company on claims against an electrical utility for damage to pipelines in Illinois state court. Successfully defeated a complicated motion to dismiss and negotiated a favorable resolution of the matter.

Represented a petroleum pump company on contract claims against a supplier and defended against the supplier’s counterclaim in Illinois federal court. Successfully defeated multiple motions to dismiss and negotiated a favorable resolution of the matter.

Secured a $453 million settlement for a class of direct purchasers of the drug Glumetza. The case involved allegations that direct purchasers of the pharmaceutical product Glumetza overpaid for the drug as a result of a payoff to potential generic competitors. In re Glumetza Antitrust Litigation, 19-cv-6156 (N.D. Cal.). 

Represented LVI Group Holdings in breach of warranty and fraud claims arising out of the merger of two national demolition and remediation companies in Delaware Chancery Court. Following years of discovery and depositions, and with the case ready for trial, the case settled on terms favorable to LVI. LVI Group Investments, LLC v. NCM Group Holdings, LLC et al., C.A. No. 12067-VCG (Del. Ch.).

Served on the legal team that secured a $485 million settlement for direct purchasers of certain of Ranbaxy, Inc.’s generic drugs. The case alleged violations of RICO, federal and state antitrust laws and consumer protection laws claiming Ranbaxy improperly conspired to defraud U.S. regulatory authorities into giving the company certain regulatory exclusivities to produce generic versions of Novartis AG's blood pressure drug Diovan, Pfizer's acid reflux medication Nexium and Genentech's antiviral drug Valcyte. Meijer, Inc. v. Ranbaxy Inc., Case No. 15-cv-11828 (D. Mass.).
